The concept of my art work (Buddhist tiger) encompasses various symbolic meanings within Buddhist teachings. Tigers hold significance in Buddhist iconography, folklore, and spiritual practices, representing:
1.Strength and Power
2.Protection and Guardianship Fearlessness
3.Transformation
4.Compassion and Wisdom
Overall, the concept of the Buddhist tiger serves as a metaphor for various spiritual qualities and principles, inspiring practitioners to cultivate inner strength, fearlessness, compassion, and wisdom on their journey towards enlightenment.
The endless knot is a complex interwoven pattern without a clear beginning or end, representing the interconnectedness of all phenomena and the infinite wisdom of the Buddha. It symbolizes the interdependence of all things, as well as the concept of cause and effect (karma).
Additionally, the endless knot is often associated with the concept of eternal love and unity. “Meto” is a term used in Tibetan Buddhism to refer to a spiritual teacher or mentor. In Tibetan, it translates to “spiritual friend” or “spiritual guide.” Meto plays a crucial role in the spiritual development of practitioners by offering guidance, instruction, and support on their path to enlightenment. A meto is often a highly respected and experienced practitioner who possesses deep knowledge of Buddhist teachings and practices. They provide instructions on meditation, philosophy, and ethical conduct, and offer personal guidance tailored to the individual needs of their students. The relationship between a practitioner and their meto is characterized by trust, devotion, and mutual respect, and it is considered essential for making progress on the spiritual path.
